Reasons to Buy Your Home Now
This show originally aired December 10, 2011.

This episode includes Why Buy a Home Before the End of the Year  and  Holiday Party Liability for Business Owners with Richardson, Richardson, Boudreaux, Keesling; Remember These 3 Things for Your Insurance Coverage with Tedford Insurance; Exterminating Scorpions with Mother Natures Pest Control;

The Official Christmas Parade is being held for the first time this year at Tulsa Hills at 71st and Olympia (just off Highway 75 and 71st Street).  This parade is celebrating the birth of Christ and the reason for Christmas.  It is at 6 pm, tonight, December 10, 2011.  It will begin at 71st and Olympia and continue through Tulsa Hills Shopping Center to 81st and Olympia.  Santa will be visiting.

Why You Should Buy a Tulsa Area House Before the End of the Year
-    There are tax savings when purchasing a home before the end of the year, you must close by 12-31-11.  --Home Sellers are, sometimes, more motivated to sell and have their real estate matters taken care of by the end of the year.  --Often Builders will give extra's to motivate you to purchase and close before the end of the year.   --Moving companies may have more openings during the end of the year versus the middle of the year.  --There are often, however, fewer homes available during the end of the year.  You will likely have fewer options, but that can mean that the serious home sellers leave their homes on the market and serious home buyers are looking for a home.

Holiday Party Liability for Business Owners-  This may include your Christmas Party or any other Holiday Party that you have as a business.  1)  The invite itself can be a liability.  Are they invited to attend? or  Is it required?  If you are having a Christmas Party, it is best not to require attendance.  If you want to require attendance, it would be better to call it a Holiday Party.  2)  Consider insurance needs for your business during this time.  Do you have proper insurance coverage for those needs?. (Damage to property from fire or an employee having an accident while hanging decorations.  3)  Free Liquor Bar for Employees.  If employees are drinking and end of getting drunk and doing something stupid.  Other times, there might be people under 21 sneaking in and having alcohol.  There are many different situations where, as an owner, you will be held liable.  It is best not to have liquor at all.  If you are, hire someone to come in and do the bar.  4)  Do not have a mistletoe hung in the office. It just opens the door to sexual harassment cases.  5)  If you do have alcohol,  make sure that everyone gets home safe.

Exterminating Scorpions in Tulsa   This time of year, it is less common to find a scorpion while you are moving things outside, but it is possible.  They will likely be found underneath a rock or other things.  Being stung by one is usually not life threatening and can be treated like a wasp sting.  If you live in a rocky area, it is best to keep them under control.  Due to the drought this year, they have been trying to get inside.  They mainly stay underneath rocks and crevices around your home.

We will do free evaluations to address your needs.  No obligation.

For all your Tulsa pest control needs, contact Mother Natures, 918-362-2000 or in OKC  405-278-8100 or www.pestsecret.com.

Remember These 3 Things for Your Insurance Coverage    1)  Moratorium for Earthquake Insurance has now been lifted and you may now purchase insurance.  Don't wait until another earthquake happens.   2)  Property rates are going up so look for increased deductibles and rates.  3)  A customer has a collection of beer cans from the 1930-1960's. If you have a collection of things that are valuable, make sure that you have proper insurance coverage. Check out our facebook page to check it out.
