Tulsa, OK Taxes (Property)- Tulsa, OK. property valuation is leveling off in general. This means that property taxes should not increase on those properties. Most of the nation has property values decrease. In Tulsa, our property value did not do that. The Tulsa County Assessor places a value on property. The Assessor does not control the tax rate or the tax laws, they simply set a value on property. When a property owner feels that the value set for their property is too high, they can contest that value. Taxes are approved by the excise board after being voted on by the people. On January 1st we decide what is the value of all property. We assume that every property is ready for sale and is valued accordingly. If your property is not ready for sale, such as maintenance, carpet, concrete in poor shape then you can contest that value and ask for it to be changed. Belinda Hedgecock, Chairwoman of Tulsa Designer Showcase discusses an older 11th Street Building that is being converted and part of the Tulsa Designer Showcase, a fund-raising event. Many of us have passed the old Burkhardt Office Supply building on 11th street. The building used to be a hotel as well. The neighborhood fought to have this building kept in tact and not destroyed. It was built in the 1920's by Max Campbell. It has housed a Safeway, Casa Loma Hotel, Stipes, and Burkhardt Office Supply. There was a trolley that ran from the building to downtown. There are many new designers and artists coming in to take part in the Tulsa Designer Showcase. The Foundation for Tulsa Schools is what the Tulsa Designer Showcase benefits. The Foundation receives the fund-raising, which goes into schools all over the Tulsa area (not just Tulsa Schools). Over the years we have funded over $6 million for projects and for classrooms in schools. For more information about Tulsa Designer Showcase or any of the buildings that are a part, contact www.tulsadesignershowcase.com. The Designer Showcase is April 29, 2011 to May 22, 2011. You can also rent the property for private parties as early as the 10th of April, 2011.

Exterminating your Tulsa, OK Home- Things are changing. HD is a new bait that Sentricon is using. We are able to put the bait in from the beginning versus having to wait before placing it or being unable to bait all the stations (sometimes it would be difficult to find all the stations and some would be missed). This new bait will be in from the start. Not all companies that use Sentricon will be using the new HD bait because it is expensive. We want to provide the best protection to our customers and will be using the new HD Bait.
