What is CASA? Court Appointed Special Advocates are volunteers that go through training so that they can go to the court to speak on behalf of the children in the states custody. There are 1500 kids in custody in Oklahoma. They talk to all parties involved, including the child, and speak on behalf of the child. They are not involved in daily care. They come in and talk to teachers, attorneys foster parents, partents, the child, and others to help determine what is best for the child. Report your damage to your insurance company. You may not get your agent due to the number of calls that the company is handling, however call and let them know. 2. If you can't find your policy, your insurance company should be able to provide it for you. Make sure you ask for a copy of your declarations page. Your insurance company should have information and ways to verify that you are the insured and have insurance with their company. 3. After you contact your insurance company, make sure you understand instructions from your insurance company and write down the instructions. They will send out an adjuster to check the damage and the cause. Often the adjuster will not work directly for the insurance company. This is especially common when there is a large disaster. They will be called an independent adjuster. The contract the insurance company has with you is the same whether they use an in house adjuster or an independent adjuster. 4. Remember the insurance company has others to deal with as well. They can't make everyone their first priority because there are too many claimants. Cooperate with them and work with them.
