Why does it take so long to close a loan? It may not be taking longer. It is important to be realistic with your expectations. There is lots of work to do before the file can go to closing. By law, we can't close on a loan any sooner than 7 days. To speed up the process, get your paperwork in as soon as possible. When someone asks for information, get it to them the same day if possible. Don't get discouraged by what you may hear from others or even what you might think! Multiple Offers on Your Property- I have had many situations this year where there have been multiple offers on a property. When encountering this situation, keep in mind, what would be the maximum you would pay for the property. Keep in mind that it shouldn't always be about getting a discount on the list price. Look at your needs and wants and whether the property fits that. Also keep in mind the value of the property. Paying full list price, or even higher, may be a good deal when you look at the value of the property. Some properties are priced competitively with others in the market. Others are priced with a compelling price where homeowners may jump on the chance to buy the property because the price is so great.
Exterminating Ticks- At this time of year, ticks are everywhere! When tics get a blood meal, they drop to the ground. Eventually they need another meal and will wait on a blade of grass for something to walk by. When you get a tick on you, take it off ASAP. I think that if you can get it off within 12 hours you won't have to worry about Lyme disease and other problems you can get with them. You may still get an infection but can avoid many other diseases and conditions.
